Westminster gets overlooked because it does not have one obvious identity, and honestly, that is the whole selling point. You can live two minutes from Standley Lake with a kayak in the garage, or two minutes from Bradburn's front porches and coffee shops, and both of those are still Westminster. It sits right along US-36 between Denver and Boulder, which means you are never more than about twenty five minutes from either one.

It is also a genuinely split city. The western half sits in Jefferson County, the eastern half in Adams County, and that split shows up directly in which school district your address lands in. More on that below, because it actually matters here more than in most towns on this list.
