Longmont is the town that proves Boulder County does not have to mean Boulder prices. Main Street and Coffman Street anchor the Historic Downtown Creative District, where century old brick buildings hold coffee shops, craft breweries like Left Hand Brewing and Oskar Blues, and local businesses that have been there for decades. The Historic Eastside and Westside neighborhoods surround it with Victorians and craftsman bungalows shaded by old silver maples, and Thompson Park and Roosevelt Park give the whole area a genuine small town feel.

Spread out from downtown and Longmont opens into some of the most distinctive neighborhoods on the Front Range. Prospect New Town was Colorado's first New Urbanist community and still looks like nothing else in the state, McIntosh Lake anchors the northwest side with paddleboarding and mountain views, and the St. Vrain Greenway ties the whole town together with paved trail. It is also home to NextLight, the city's own gigabit fiber network, which matters if you work from home.
